Great day at the ballpark. Bulldogs win only meeting with Hurricanes this year. Strong pitching from AJ and hits by 8 of 9 batters gives J-Dawgs a "run-rule". Luke Mulcahey lead the charge at the plate with 3 hits. Eric Schweiger had the "big blow" in the 4th with his towering grand slam over the left field fence.
Eric Hughes got the Bulldogs on the board in the 2nd inning reaching on an error by the second baseman and scoring on a single by Luke. The Dawgs were back on the attack in the bottom of the 3rd. Scott Duncan lead off with a single to left and Matt drew a walk. With two outs Clint delivered a run scoring single up the middle bringing home Scott and making the score 2-0. AJ joined the party with a 2 run double to right center scoring Matt and Clint. Luke then delivered his second run scoring single bringing home AJ and completing the scoring in the 3rd. Not satisfied with a 5 run lead, Gavin bot the bottom of the 4th started with a double to the fence in left center. With one out, Scott and Matt drew walks loading the bases for Eric S. Eric hit the second offering by L McIntire over the left field fence and the rout was on. Eric H got in the frey with a triple off the wall in right center. Luke then came up with 2 outs and did his thing, a run scoring single to left. That made the score 10-0.
The Canes managed to scratch across a run in the top of the 5th with a 2 out single to center. That meant the Bulldogs got to bat again in the bottom of the 5th. Tyler lead off the inning and reach on a throwing error by the shortstop. With one out Matt hit another one to the shortstop and now 2 men were on with Erit S at the plate. The Cane's employed an exagerated shift the whole game and Eric hit the ball vacated by the "shift" bring home Tyler to end the game in a run rule.
