KATY ISD INVITATIONAL BASEBALL TOURNAMENT

FEBRUARY 21, 22, and 23, 2008

RULES and GUIDELINES

1. There will be a 2 hour 15 minute time limit on all games.� If tied at the end of game or when time expires, teams will play one extra inning.� If still tied, the winner will be determined by the total number of runners to reach third base that did not score.� If still tied, the same format will be used for runners that reached second base, then first base, and finally a coin toss.

2. Each team supplies two game balls at start of game.

������ Alternate turns after that starting with the home team.

3. Winner of the tournament will be decided by fewest losses.� If tied:

a. Head to head

b. Fewest runs allowed per game (average)���

4.� ��Each team is responsible for retrieving foul balls on their side of field.

5.� ��Katy ISD teams will use their home dugouts in all of their games.

6.��� PLEASE NOTE: The first team listed on the schedule is the designated home team.������������ �

������ 7.� ��Home team will keep the official book.

�� 8.��� No pre-game infield will be taken before any games.

� 9.�� Line up cards need to be in the press box 15 minutes prior to start of game.

10. A ten run rule will be in effect after five innings and an eight run rule will be in effect after six ��

innings.
